What is free and what needs full access?
Free: the first questions in every knowledge area, a 15-question quick check exam, Missed Questions, TRUST prep for recreational flyers, and the METAR decoder. Full access unlocks every question and figure, the full 60-question practice exam, Preflight Check and the Flight Log.
How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore under Membership, or tap Restore on any unlock screen. Purchases are tied to your Apple account, so sign in with the same Apple ID you bought with.
How does the free trial work?
The Yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You are not charged until the trial ends. Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends in your device Settings, under your Apple ID and Subscriptions, and you pay nothing. Apple handles the trial, so the app cannot extend or reset it.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside the app. Open your device Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Hover. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep full access until then.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the Hover purchase. We cannot issue refunds directly.
Are these the actual FAA test questions?
No. The FAA does not publish its questions or answer keys. Hover's questions are original wording built from the public FAA material the test is based on: 14 CFR Part 107, Part 89 and Part 48, the Remote Pilot Study Guide, the Airman Certification Standards and the FAA's handbooks. The figures are the FAA's own, from the Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement, the same booklet you get at the testing center.
I think a question or answer is wrong.
Please tell us. Email the question's wording, your reasoning and the regulation or source you are looking at. Every report is checked against the current rule and the bank is corrected in the next update.
What does readiness mean?
Readiness is the share of questions you answered correctly on your latest attempt, weighted by each area's share of the practice exam. It is an estimate from your study in the app, not a prediction of your FAA result.
Where did my progress go?
Progress is stored only on your device and is deleted with the app. It does not sync between devices. A reset is available at the bottom of Settings if you want a clean run before your test.
Preflight Check can't find my location.
Twilight times need your location once. Check that Hover is allowed in Settings, Privacy, Location Services. If you would rather not share it, you can still use every other check and confirm daylight yourself.
The reminders aren't showing up.
Reminders are scheduled on your device after your first study session, at 14, 7, 3 and 1 days before the test date you set. Make sure notifications are allowed for Hover in Settings, and that a test date is set in the app's Settings.
